Change in the Girl's schedule!!!
The girls's originally had a game on the 31st of October, but it was changed to Nov. 1st!
Cross Country Teams win again!!
This past Saturday, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Western Kentucky Meet of Champions. This was the final race of the season for the middle school and elementary teams.
The boy’s middle school team placed 1st overall. Austin Schadler was also the individual champion. He was followed by an excellent pack comprised of Wesley Nevitt 3rd, Bo Powers in 4th Dylan Means 5th, Tyler Hays 6th and Cameron Chappell in 7th.
The girl’s middle school team also placed 1st. Sydney Young was also the individual champion. Kirsten Johnson was runner up followed by Jessi Glover in 3rd, Emily Woodward 4th and Carson Wheatley in 7th.
In the 6th grade and under competition, the boys team finished 2nd.
Member s of that team were Corey Shroeder, Wyatt Powers, Wes Wheatley, JR Grut, Dakota Terry, Aidan Neal, Nate Grut and Connor Szefi.
The girls 6th grade and under team finished 4th.
Members of that team were Shelby Hurst, Hannah Szefi, Alex Kratzer, Makala McManaway, and Cayden Wagner.
Please congratulate all the athletes on a fantastic cross country season!

Cougars break down Breck Again!
The HCMS 7th and 8th grade football teams beat Breck County again last Thursday at Home. This time it was in convincing fashion. The 7th grade won 20-0 and the 8th grade scored at will and won 38-8. Great job Cougars!

Cougars claw Tigers!
The 7th and 8th grade football teams went to Breck County Tuesday night and picked up 2 more wins. The 7th grade won in exciting fashion in a 2 overtimes 14-8. The 8th grade had a slow start, but turned in on with :12 seconds left in the first half with a bomb from Ty Ogle to Garrett Pate to start the scoring streak. They follow that with 2 more touchdowns to start the 3rd quarter by James Garrett and Jack Bradley to win 24-0. The cougars are at home against the Grayson County Cougars next Tuesday. Great job Cougars!!!

Cougars drop 2 games to Edmonson
The 7th and 8th grade football teams lost both games to visiting Edmonson Co. this past Saturday. The 7th grade were shut out and the 8th grade couldn't overcome turnovers and lost 36-20. The Cougars will hit the road Tuesday Sept. 13th to take on their arch rivals Breck Co. Game time is 5:00pm. Good luck Cougars!

Cougars win first two games of year!!!
The 7th and 8th grade football teams beat visiting Forest Park Tuesday night in two exciting games. The 7th grade started the night by winning in overtime 8-6. The 8th grade followed this game with a 14-6 win. This runs their records to 1-4 in both grades. Great job cougars!

Kirsten Johnson wins!!!
@ Vastwood 8/30/11
Kirsten Johnson turned on the turbo jets to win the dual high school cross country meet @ Vastwood Park this week! She was followed up by two of her teammates Sydney Young and Dreama Johnson for a good HCMS showing. Kirsten is an 8th grader her at HCMS.
